Introducing Cross Reference News

Thursday, March 26, 2009

"What sort of news will I find here?", you may perhaps wonder. In a nutshell: the news section will consist of a factual reporting of current events. Specifically: our focus will be to report on issues that are of particular interest to Christians, especially topics that are perhaps not found in mainstream media. Examples of such topics include (but are not limited to) global Christian persecution, social injustice, relevant laws and court rulings, and especially local/regional news and events relating to Christians.

Articles need to stick to generally accepted facts and quotations, being careful not to misrepresent or slander anyone, for Proverbs 12:17 states: "Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit." (ESV).  We seek to maintain journalistic integrity and fairness at all times, and will try to the best of our abilities to leave out personal bias from the news: though we encourage robust dialog and the writing from specific viewpoints, such expression does not belong among the news.

If there is news you are interested in seeing here, or you desire to write an article for this section, please contact me at tlschwar@mtu.edu.
