Inter-Christian Council presents "Encounter Worship"

On Saturday, April 4 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Wads Annex, Inter-Christian Council will be sponsoring the first of two outreach worship events called “Encounter Worship.”

“I have very high expectations that God is/will/and already has used this in people's lives,” said Ben Aho, who is heading up the planning of the event for ICC. “It has been awesome to see Him purposefully set things up, on His own terms, and I can only give Him the glory for it.”

The featured music will be Hillsong (http://www.myspace.com/hillsong), Mac Powell (who formed Christian rock band Third Day) and Starfield (http://www.myspace.com/starfield). In addition, testimonies and drama performances will round out the outreach event, which is open to everyone.

Tremendous event!

For those reading this who did not attend the April 4 "Encounter Worship" event, you missed out on a lot. It was uplifting for those who are Christians and challenging to those who are not, but welcoming to both. I trust the second time around will be that much better, and I encourage any and all to come. Hopefully we will have some fairly complete coverage of the event and preparation for the second event in the upcoming edition of Cross Reference (coming out April 9)!
