Artcle ideas?

Do you have any articles you'd like to see in the paper?  Are there any articles you'd perhaps even like to write?

Submitting Articles

How do I submit an article, once it is written? Also, what is the maximum length for an article?

E-mail or online upload

Luke, you can either "Create Content" on the control panel under your name on the right side of the screen and create a story "Draft" under "Features." This will be copy edited. Or you can just e-mail me the story in .doc format at steander@mtu.edu; your choice. Our general word limit is 300-600. Let me know if it's any longer now and we can discuss options. Anybody else want to write any articles for any of the sections?

I love the idea of targeting

I love the idea of targeting the Christian base by providing a media outlet which will distribute religious (Christian) articles. I'm curious though as to what angles stories will be portrayed, simply because there is such diversity in belief within the Christian community. Either way, I most look forward to hearing about Christian-based events.

Open to all viewpoints, but discretion used

We will try to represent as many viewpoints (particularly within the Christian community) as we can, but those that fundamentally disagree with our tenets and our mission statement (fleshed out fairly well in the introduction article to the paper) may be restricted. Our editorial team reserves the right to deny an article, but if well-written and well-argued for, we will probably publish it (non-Christian viewpoints will likely only be presented in opinion as letters to the editor, or something along those lines). Also, it's important that we don't disguise what viewpoint an article is from. If it is trying to represent a belief as widely held by every single Christian, that may be pushing it. There are so many gray areas, that they will almost all have to be tackled on an individual basis. Hopefully this helps clear things up a little, anyways.
